General Description
OTS is a non-profit consortium that includes around 65 universities and research institutions around the world. OTS was founded to provide leadership in education, research and the responsive use of natural resources in the tropics. To address this mission, OTS conducts graduate and undergraduate education, facilitates researche, actively participates in forest conservation, and manages three biological stations in Costa Rica: La Selva, Las Cruces and Palo Verde.

La Selva Bilogical Station
Discover the world of the flora and fauna of the tropical rainforest at the one of the most important research sites in the world. On 57 km of well maintained trails, visitors will be able to explore, led by bilingual naturalist guides, the biodiversity of La Selva: more than 400 species of birds, 1900 species of plants, mammals, reptiles and more. Together La Selva and the Braulio Carrillo National Park are part of UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Las Cruces Bilogical Station
Las Cruces, known as Wilson Botanical Gardens too.
Botanical Garden: Costa Rica's premier botanical garden and Central America's richest plant collection.

Location: San Vito de Cotobrus, Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
Palo Verde Biological Station
One of the most important sanctuaries in Central America for migrating and resident species of waterfowl. Discover the natural beauty of the tropical dry forest and the magnificent wetlands, a rich mosai that encompaces 15 different habitats.

Location: Parque Nacional Palo Verde, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
